You have decided to add a racing simulator to your attraction, or to start your own simulation centre. But what kind of machine do you need and where should it be located? How will it be themed? What cars and tracks will your guests race? Which race formats will maximise throughput and generate most revenue?
Cruden will support you from the outset with experience-based advice on concept design, simulator specification and financing and business models. We take your brief and propose the hardware and software options and operating configurations that will make your latest attraction a success.

Our full motion interactive Hexatech simulator - so called because it has six degrees of freedom (moves in all directions and rotations) - continues to be our most popular model. We start with a base simulator which is then modified to your exact specifications. The vehicle exterior is a blank canvas: we can supply open or closed cockpits, fit bodywork or mount actual vehicles into a motion platform. Our software is offered as a broad 'pick and mix' range of options which include vehicle models, tracks and race cars, and various other upgrades, available throughout the long life of the simulator. In addition to realistic noises, smell and lighting can be added to create the desired ambience.
For the first time, an interative racing simulator is available as a three seater. Based on the Hexatech, Cruden's 3CTR simulator is a coup for the attractions market, combining interaction and a passive ride experience within the same guest group. This supports higher throughput and increased revenue and makes what can be quite a niche experience accessible to many more guests. Drivers will have the benefit of screaming back seat drivers (!) and passengers will have the best view in the house. Attractions would even be able to offer guests the opportunity to be driven by real celebrity racing driver at special events.

The secret ingredient of the Cruden package is its highly developed motion-cueing algorithms - the complex and critical maths which translates driver input into motion and force feedback response via the simulator's interactive motion platform and control loading. Movement through six degrees of freedom, realistic g-Force simulation up to multiple G's, seat belt tensioners and 100 percent realistic steering feedback provide the exact same feel as a real race car as judged by experienced test drivers.
Whether opting for single or double simulator attractions or dedicated simulator centres with multiple linked-up machines, Cruden's 'Race Manager' software offers a variety of functionalities to allow attraction owners and guests to define their interactive simulator experience. By changing race modes, the attraction is kept fresh for frequent visitors and allows for single and group use, short rides or endurance events.
Cruden simulators deliver unlimited, repeatable performance over their long lifetime. Machines last for 10-15 years without major overhaul thanks to Cruden's expertise in developing the most durable simulation equipment for the military and professional flight and marine simulation industry. The company offers immediate on-call servicing and maintenance support, in addition to the ongoing supply of software upgrades.
