Vehicle and component development -- pre-prototype testing and prototype alternative -- vehicle ride and handling -- tyre development (compound assessment) -- HMI/ergonomic assessment -- engineer training - problem identification -- software debugging -- competitor assessment and benchmarking -- NVH assessment
Our customers have such diverse requirements that we don't tie ourselves down to a formal product line-up. Vehicle manufacturers and automotive system designers like working with us because we are very flexible in making special hardware and software configurations, within given budget and time frames.

Cruden's driving simulator heritage is built on the 6DOF Hexatech model. It continues to be our most popular simulator, and the recently developed fourth generation representation is the most sophisticated motion-platform simulator on the market.
The secret ingredient of the Cruden package is its highly developed motion-cueing algorithms - the complex and critical maths which translates driver input into motion and force feedback response via the simulator's interactive motion platform and control loading.
Each simulator can be modified to exact specifications, from the look of the hardware (we can supply open or closed cockpits, fit bodywork or use actual vehicles), to the feel of the ride and handling. We supply complete simulator packages including vehicle models, tracks and race cars, or customers can opt for the base simulator and add-on their own systems technology. Cruden also offers motion base or control loading upgrades throughout the service of the simulator and can administer new top platforms, and upgrades to PCs, graphic cards and other modifications that are required as part of software enhancements.
Cruden simulators deliver unlimited, repeatable performance over their long lifetime - machines last for 10-15 years without major overhaul - having been designed for service in engineering environments. The company offers immediate on-call servicing and maintenance support, in addition to the ongoing supply of software upgrades.

For the first time, to make vehicle evaluation easier for engineering teams, the Cruden Hexatech is available as a three seater (or 3CTR). This benefits automotive development by allowing small groups of engineers and development drivers to sit safely together with the same view, visual cues and physical and motion response. Allowing key stakeholders and managers to get a 'hands on' feel for setting changes also aids programme teams when it comes to explaining design direction and getting management approval.
